My two blessings....

Just wanted to let all of you know that we have added a baby girl to our family and I am taking a break from cakes for a while to enjoy my two little blessings! I hope to be back in business by spring!

My Baby "Sprinkle"

Since I am pregnant with my second child (Owen was first and this one is a girl!) my sisters decided to throw a baby "sprinkle". We already had everything we needed but I was blessed to have friends and family "sprinkle" baby girl with so many adorable clothes and of course, a few necessities (i.e. diapers!).

These mason jar flowers hung from the fence in the front yard.
The bird wreath welcomed guests to the party.

Cupcake in a jar ~ party favors to thank the guests for coming.

The guest book was "Pinkalicious and the Pink Drink" and all the guests were to write a love note to baby. Everyone wrote such sweet things!

The "sweets table" ~ usually the hit of any party. Cake, cupcakes, candy, chocolate dipped pretzels, sugar cookies, wafer cookies, and chocolate covered strawberries.

The chocoalte covered strawberries looked like little mice. I was afraid no one would eat them because they were so cute, but those little mice were the first to go!

Shabby Chic pig greets the guests at the food table.

It was a beautiful day outside!

Who can resist fun, sparkling sodas in a huge tub? I may use this tub for baby girl's photo shoot too!

My sisters and me at the "sprinkle".

Most of the "sprinkle" guests ~ what a lovely group of ladies!

I think everyone had a nice time ~ I know I did and I am so blessed to have such generous friends and family!

Zucchini Cupcakes with Caramel Frosting

Thanks to my wonderful husband Brian, we have two garden boxes in our backyard that yield arugala, romaine, roma tomatoes, big boy tomatoes, yellow squash, and zucchini. Our zucchini started growing like crazy {literally, overnight the zucchini would grow} so it was time to create a cupcake using the zucchini.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. These cucpakes are delicious ~ a basic spice cake with cinnamon and zucchini. Topped with a delicious creamy caramel frosting that is to die for!!!

Next project ~ what to do with all that yellow squash...
